After many requests from readers and garden clubs to tour our garden, we decided to open it to the public to benefit the Women’s Center of Southeastern Connecticut. Like every garden, it is a work in progress, but we think it is pretty and would love to share it with you. Nice children are welcome, but must be supervised because of the pool. We look forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones! I will have some plants for sale that you can see in the garden. We are about an hour from New London.

Directions to Ted and Carol King Platt’s house.

FROM NEW LONDON, Take Route 95 to Route 9, North. Go to Exit 11, Randolph Road. Turn left off exit onto Randolph Road. At intersection with a light, turn left onto Route 17 towards Durham. In Durham, turn right at white church onto Route 68. After several miles on 68, you will come to a stop light.

Here is where people get messed up:

AT THE STOP LIGHT, GET IN THE LEFT LANE AND GO STRAIGHT. DO NOT FOLLOW 68 TO THE RIGHT.
Whew!

Take a right at the next stop sign and then take the first left onto Williams Road at the next stop sign.

North Airline Road is the third right. Counting the house on the corner, our house, #297 is the 8th on the right. Green mailbox, blue center chimney Cape. Please park on the street.

OR, if you are coming from the south, take Route 95 to New Haven. Take Route 91 North. Take Exit 14. Turn Left at end of ramp. At the first stop light, turn right onto South Airline Road. Go to end and turn right at the light. Cross over Route 91, and IMMEDIATElY turn left onto North Airline Road. Go 1. 2 miles. We are the blue center chimney cape on the left. Please park on the street.
